A closer look at my experience, work style, and what keeps me inspired—both on and off the clock.
I’ve been a visual artist for as long as I can remember—pretty much since I could hold a pencil. But my passion for design really took shape in high school, where I spent four years in a commercial arts program, winning awards along the way. That foundation led me straight into the industry during the early dot-com days of the late ‘90s, back when most people were still waiting for their dial-up to connect.
Fast forward around 28 years, and design has been at the core of everything I do. I’ve worked in digital agencies, healthcare startups, luxury real estate, and beyond. It’s not just my career—it’s how I see the world.
My ideal work environment is a small to medium-sized startup where creativity, collaboration, and innovation thrive. I love working alongside other creatives and cross-functional teams, where ideas flow freely and everyone comes together to create something great. More than just an employee, I want to be a true partner in the business—someone who helps shape the vision, not just execute tasks. And of course, I’m always drawn to companies that push boundaries, experiment with bleeding-edge technologies, and stay ahead of the curve.
I’ve worked with a variety of project management tools, depending on the team and workflow. When collaborating with product design teams, I’ve used Atlassian Jira to track sprints and development cycles. For marketing and creative projects, I’ve worked with Asana, ClickUp, Trello, and Monday.com to manage tasks and timelines. Slack is also a key part of my workflow, keeping team communication seamless and projects moving forward.
I’d describe my skill set as versatile and end-to-end. While hyper-specialized designers are in vogue, my years in the industry have shaped me into a true generalist—someone who can take a project from concept to completion. I’m proficient in both traditional design tools and modern development, whether that’s writing code (front-end) or building with no-code platforms. I also illustrate, from intricate compositions to full iconography sets. On the product side, I have experience as a UI/UX designer, shaping user experiences that are both functional and beautiful. Simply put, if creativity is needed, I can work in just about any medium to bring ideas to life.
At this moment, I’m looking to join a remote team. I have extensive experience working remotely, both as an salaried employee and contractor, collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones. That said, for the right role and compensation, I’d be open to a hybrid position in Miami.
I enjoy traveling and exploring new places with my family—my wife of 20 years and our two teenage kids. When I’m not on the move, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen, honing my culinary skills and cooking for friends and family. I’m also a gear-head who's deep into a vintage car restoration project, which means plenty of time wrenching and taking weekend drives to cars and coffee meetups.
